Summary

Adds certain mental health community services providers.

The bill widens who counts as a "health professional" under the state's telehealth insurance coverage law so it includes people credentialed to provide qualified mental health professional community services, such as those with certain bachelor's degrees, registered nurses, or people who complete a state-approved alternative credentialing process. It also bars the state pharmacy board from requiring pharmacists to counsel patients in person when it writes the related rules. Starting with health plans issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2026, these community mental health workers fall under the telehealth coverage rules, and pharmacists can counsel patients remotely.
