Summary

Hunter education included.

The bill orders the State Board of Education, working with the Parks and Wildlife Department, to write curriculum rules for a lifetime recreation and outdoor pursuits course that includes hunter education. School districts may then offer that course to high school students as a way to earn their required physical education credit. The change applies starting with the 2025-2026 school year, and it creates a new option rather than a requirement for districts.
