Summary

Any public university with at least 8,000 students gets one.

This bill requires each county commissioners court to set up a polling place on the main campus of any public university in the county that has at least 8,000 enrolled students. It affects county election officials, the large public universities that would host the sites, and the students and nearby residents who vote there. Those campus sites must be open during early voting on the same hours as the county's main early voting location, and on election day, starting with elections after September 1, 2025.
