Summary

Same deal as voter registration forms, now for mail-in ballot applications.

The bill lets county voter registrars and volunteer deputy registrars hand out and collect applications for mail-in ballots, the same way they already handle voter registration forms. It touches voters who qualify to vote by mail, county voter registrars, early voting clerks, and volunteer deputy registrars. Registrars must keep a supply of the forms and pass completed ones to the early voting clerk, and volunteer deputies must turn in collected applications within set deadlines or face a Class C misdemeanor offense, raised to Class A if the failure is intentional.
