Summary

Section 201.9991(d) goes. That’s the bill.

This bill repeals one subsection, Section 201.9991(d), of the Transportation Code, which deals with discretionary funding decisions of the Texas Transportation Commission. It touches the commission and the projects that compete for its discretionary transportation money. The text does not reprint the repealed subsection, so what changes on the ground depends on that removed language, and the change takes effect immediately with a two-thirds vote or on September 1, 2025.
