Summary

No call to the regional office before a controlled brush burn.

The bill bars the state environmental agency from making people notify or get permission from a regional office before doing a controlled outdoor burn of plant growth in a county under a declared state of disaster or emergency. It touches landowners and others clearing brush or vegetation in those counties, and the commission's regional offices. Unless the governor's or president's declaration expressly bans all outdoor burning, people in those counties can burn plant growth without that regional-office sign-off starting September 1, 2025.
