Summary

From 100 miles of the Texas-Mexico border to 150. Commissioners still approve.

The bill widens the area where retail fireworks sellers may sell during the May 1 to May 5 window, from locations within 100 miles of the Texas-Mexico border to locations within 150 miles. It touches retail fireworks permit holders and county commissioners courts in counties near the border, which must still approve sales during that window. More stores farther from the border can sell fireworks in early May if their county agrees.
