Summary

Covers orders that stop commercial carriers after a DPS compliance review.

This bill takes certain Texas Department of Motor Vehicles actions out of the state's standard rules for agency hearings and appeals. It covers actions tied to orders that make commercial motor vehicle carriers stop operating inside Texas after a Department of Public Safety compliance review or safety audit. Carriers hit with these orders would no longer get the usual Administrative Procedure Act process when the department acts on them, and the change starts immediately or September 1, 2025.
