Summary
Adds any cancer the International Agency for Research on Cancer links to exposure.
The bill widens the list of cancers covered by the state presumption that a firefighter's or emergency medical technician's cancer came from the job. It adds any other cancer that may be caused by exposure to heat, smoke, radiation, or a known or suspected carcinogen as determined by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Firefighters and EMTs who file benefit or compensation claims on or after the effective date can rely on that broader list.
