Summary

One subsection on who gets help when government forces a move.

The bill repeals one subsection, Section 21.046(e) of the Property Code, which deals with who can get relocation assistance when the state or a local government forces a person to move or shut down. It touches people and businesses displaced by state or local government action, and the agencies that pay relocation assistance. The repeal applies only to moves caused by government action taken on or after September 1, 2025, and the bill text itself does not reprint what the repealed subsection said, so the exact change in who qualifies can only be read from the current statute.
