Every minute behind the wheel on a client trip counts.
The bill says a person who drives a client in the CLASS disability waiver program is entitled to pay for all time spent driving in connection with that trip. It touches habilitation transportation providers and the state agency that runs the CLASS waiver. On the ground, drivers must be paid for time returning a client's vehicle to a set location even when the client is not in the car, if federal law allows and once any needed federal approval is granted.
