Summary

License holders carry at the polls. No other banned weapons.

The bill adds an exception to the state law that bans weapons at polling places on election day and during early voting. Texans who hold a handgun license could carry a concealed handgun at a polling place, as long as they carry no other banned weapon. Everyone else stays under the existing ban, and the change starts September 1, 2025.
