Summary

Coverage goes from 12 months to 24 after pregnancy ends.

The bill extends Medicaid coverage for women who qualified for pregnancy Medicaid from 12 months to 24 months after the pregnancy ends. It affects low-income mothers on pregnancy Medicaid and the state health commission that runs the program. If the bill becomes law, these women keep their coverage for two years instead of one, though the state may wait for federal approval before the change starts.
