Summary

Suppliers lose confidentiality. The people carrying out executions keep it.

This bill strips the secrecy shield that now hides who makes and supplies the drugs and materials Texas uses in executions. It touches the companies and people who manufacture, transport, test, compound, prescribe, dispense or provide those substances, while people who carry out or administer the execution stay confidential. Once it takes effect on September 1, 2025, the names and addresses of those suppliers become public information that anyone can get through a records request.
