Summary

The caption never names them. The population band picks out a few coastal counties.

This bill widens an existing exemption from a state lifeguard requirement for public beaches. It reaches small cities of under 1,000 people in counties of more than 32,000 and less than 40,000 people, plus counties of that size. Those places would no longer have to meet the lifeguard rule the law now applies to them, starting September 1, 2025.
