Summary

Or the federal minimum, if that ever runs higher.

This bill raises the Texas minimum wage to $15.00 an hour, or the federal minimum wage if that is ever higher. It applies to employers and employees across the state, and it repeals Section 62.151 of the Labor Code, a section the bill names but does not describe. Starting September 1, 2025, covered employers would have to pay at least $15.00 an hour, except where the existing Section 62.057 says otherwise.
