Summary
The 120 percent cap goes. The board still sets the salary, ceiling-free.
The bill removes the cap that keeps the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired superintendent's pay at no more than 120 percent of the school's highest-paid instructional administrator. The school's board still sets the superintendent's salary each year, but without that ceiling. The change applies to superintendent contracts made or renewed on or after September 1, 2025.
