Summary

Updated within 30 days of any change.

The bill requires the state environmental agency to post each permitted crematory's air-permit compliance history and rating on its website and to update that page within 30 days of any change or appeal decision. It also requires every permitted crematory to put up a visible public notice showing its compliance record, how to file emissions complaints, and where to find more details online. The agency must write the rules by September 1, 2026, and the website posting can wait until those rules exist.

director issues a decision in response to a crematory's appeal of an

updated classification.

(c) The commission shall develop a template for crematories

to use for displaying the public notice required under Subsection

(d).

(d) The commission by rule shall require each crematory

required to post the information required by Section 382.070(b),

Health and Safety Code, as added by this Act, before the commission
