Summary

Counties, cities, school districts too. Contracts signed before September 1, 2025 keep their old terms.

The bill caps the salary of every state officer and employee at 150 percent of the governor's salary as set in the state budget. It applies the same cap to officers and employees of counties, cities, special districts, school districts, junior college districts and other local governments. Starting September 1, 2025, new salary agreements and employment contracts cannot pay above that cap, while contracts signed before then keep their old terms.
