Summary

Roads 12, 150, 967 and 1826. Commercial signs need county approval.

The bill lets a county commissioners court, by order, require county approval before anyone builds or rebuilds a commercial sign next to and visible from four named Ranch-to-Market roads: 12, 150, 967 and 1826. It touches sign companies and businesses that want billboards along those roads, the counties those roads run through, and the state transportation department that issues sign permits. If a county adopts such an order, the state cannot issue a sign permit to that applicant until the county has signed off.
