Take in or spend over $25,000 a year? File electronically. Judicial filers excluded.
The bill requires candidates and officeholders who file campaign finance reports with the Texas Ethics Commission to file them electronically once they take in or spend more than $25,000 in a calendar year. It covers state-level filers but leaves out judicial candidates and officeholders under the judicial campaign finance rules. The commission must post each of these reports on its website within seven business days, starting with reports due on or after January 1, 2026.
