relating to vehicle safety inspections of certain travel trailers.

Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

Section 548.054 goes. The $7.50 yearly fee stays.

The bill repeals Section 548.054 of the Transportation Code, a provision that the caption ties to safety inspections of certain travel trailers. It also re-adopts, without change in this text, the existing $7.50 yearly inspection program replacement fee paid at vehicle registration, to settle two conflicting 2023 versions of that section. Owners of the affected travel trailers would lose that separate inspection provision, while the registration fee stays where it is.

Labels

Labels: INSTANT LAW. Took effect immediately, on May 29, 2025. 833 of the 1,185 graded 89R laws took effect Sep 1, 2025 (derived from the bill histories, snapshot Oct 19, 2026).
