Summary

County cutoff drops from 220,000 people to 175,000.

The bill lowers the county population cutoff in the state's ban on overnight parking of commercial motor vehicles in or near residential subdivisions, from more than 220,000 to more than 175,000. It reaches truck owners and drivers who park overnight near deed-restricted, platted neighborhoods in counties with 175,000 to 220,000 people, along with the residents of those neighborhoods. Those mid-sized counties come under the same overnight parking rules that larger counties already have, starting September 1, 2025.
