Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

Plans covering the device must cover anxiety and pain management too.

The bill requires health plans that already cover prescription contraceptive devices, like IUDs or implants, to also cover evidence-based anxiety and pain management for inserting or removing the device. It touches health insurers and the patients on those plans who get these devices placed or taken out. Starting with plans issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2026, pain and anxiety care tied to the procedure must be covered instead of left to the patient.
