Summary

Section 36.1082 out, Section 36.3011 in. That’s the bill.

The bill changes which definition of "affected person" applies when someone appeals the desired future conditions a groundwater conservation district adopts. It swaps the cross-reference from Section 36.1082 of the Water Code to Section 36.3011. Landowners, water users and others who want to challenge a district's long-term groundwater goals would have their right to appeal decided by that other section's definition, starting immediately or on September 1, 2025.
