Summary

Portal, mail, or a paper copy at the office.

The bill changes the state law on itemized medical bills to spell out how a health care provider may hand one over: electronically or through a patient portal, by mail or carrier, or as a paper copy picked up at the provider's office. It touches health care providers and their patients. Patients gain a right to get their itemized bill on request at any time after it is first issued, and to get it through the delivery method they choose from that list.
