Summary

Annual training, every other year. Boards can adopt it.

The bill lets school district boards and charter school governing bodies adopt a policy allowing educators to complete statute-required annual training every other year instead of every year. It touches public school teachers and other educators in districts and open-enrollment charter schools, plus the boards that set training policy. Starting with the 2025-2026 school year, local policy can cut the frequency of annual state-mandated trainings in half, overriding the statutory yearly schedule.
