Summary

“Or” becomes “and.” All three must be covered.

The bill rewrites the duties of the existing Texas Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee so that it must do its study and review every year, using data from the year before. It also changes the review of pregnancy-related deaths and severe maternal morbidity from 'trends, rates, or disparities' to 'trends, rates, and disparities,' so all three must be covered. The committee's other existing duties stay the same, and the change takes effect September 1, 2025.
