Parents of a child under 12 who’d be left unsupervised qualify.
The bill expands curbside voting so more voters can ask an election officer to bring the ballot to the polling place entrance or curb. Besides voters who are physically unable to enter, it now covers parents with legal custody of a child under 12 who would be left unsupervised, and primary caretakers of a person who cannot care for themselves. Election officers must deliver curbside ballots to these new groups on request starting September 1, 2025.
