Summary

Seven directors, still at large, now by place.

The bill changes the Sweeny Hospital District board so its seven directors are elected at large by numbered place instead of in a single at-large pool. It touches the seven sitting directors and the voters of the district. Current directors draw lots for Places 1 through 7 at the first board meeting after September 1, 2025, and later elections are run place by place.
