Summary
Section 15.001(14), added in 2023, goes away.
The bill repeals one definition, Section 15.001(14) of the Water Code, which was added in 2023 by Senate Bill 469. Per the caption, that definition is the meaning of a rural political subdivision for the Texas Water Assistance Program, so it touches the state water program and the small local governments that apply to it. The bill adds nothing in its place; it deletes that one subdivision, effective immediately with a two-thirds vote or otherwise on September 1, 2025.
