Summary

No firing, discipline or retaliation for addressing a student or coworker by biological sex.

The bill bars Texas school districts and charter schools from firing, disciplining, retaliating against, or otherwise discriminating against an employee who addresses a student or coworker in terms consistent with that person's biological sex. It touches teachers and other school employees, plus the districts and charter schools that employ them. On the ground, a school cannot punish a staff member for using pronouns or terms that match a student's or colleague's biological sex.
