Summary

Three sections of state law, gone. That’s the bill.

This bill repeals three existing provisions of state law: Section 247.066(h) and Section 533A.066 of the Health and Safety Code, and Sections 22.039(b-1) and (b-2) of the Human Resources Code. The caption says these provisions deal with training that the Health and Human Services Commission requires or offers for long-term care facility surveyors, staff, and providers, and for providers serving people with intellectual disabilities. Once the repeal takes effect on September 1, 2025, those training provisions are gone, and the bill adds nothing to replace them.
