Summary

More than one shot per trigger pull, now prohibited.

The bill adds devices built to make a handgun fire automatically, more than one shot per trigger pull, to the state's list of prohibited weapons. It touches anyone who knowingly possesses, makes, transports, repairs, or sells such a device, unless the item is federally registered, exempt from registration, or classified as a curio or relic. Starting September 1, 2025, holding or dealing in one of these conversion devices becomes an offense under the same section that already covers machine guns and short-barrel firearms.
