Summary

No banning gas or diesel ownership either.

The bill bars state agencies from banning or restricting the sale or use of a vehicle because of what fuel or power source it runs on, and from banning ownership of gas or diesel vehicles. It also bars the state's federal air quality plan from including any rule that limits a person's ability to buy any vehicle. It touches state agencies, environmental regulators writing the air plan, and anyone buying or owning a car, with the rule starting September 1, 2025.
