Summary

Same license, shorter name, across the Education, Government and Occupations codes.

The bill renames the state license called "licensed specialist in school psychology" to "school psychologist" everywhere it appears in the Education, Government and Occupations codes. It touches school psychologists, the licensing executive council, a state mental health task force seat, and a health-professional definition that already included this license. Nothing changes on the ground except the title on the license and in the statutes, starting September 1, 2025.
