Summary

24-hour signs, a 30-minute watch, then a windshield warning.

The bill tightens the rules for booting cars in Texas parking lots, requiring no-parking signs to be posted for 24 hours, a 30-minute observation of the violation, and a windshield warning at least 30 minutes before a boot goes on. It touches parking lot owners, booting companies and operators, local governments that regulate booting, and drivers who park in private lots. Booting would also be limited to the hours the property is open, except at homes and residential property, health care facilities, and government property, and local booting rules would have to be at least as strict as state law.
