Summary

Want to borrow? Wait for November of an even-numbered year.

This bill requires any school district bond or debt proposition to go on the ballot only in the November election of an even-numbered year. It touches every Texas school district that wants voter approval to borrow, and the officials who set election dates. School bond votes can no longer be held in May or in odd-year Novembers, and any other law setting a different date is overridden.
