Summary

Paramedics, peace officers and firefighters join veterans.

This bill renames the toll road veteran discount program to a customer discount program and adds new groups to it. Toll project entities that already run the program must now give free or discounted toll use to electronic toll customers whose vehicles are registered to a paramedic, peace officer, or firefighter, in addition to the vehicles already covered. Starting September 1, 2025, those first responders' toll tag accounts qualify for the same discount, and toll entities collect less from them.
