Summary

Same rule tobacco signs already follow near churches and schools.

The bill adds e-cigarettes to Texas's existing rule that keeps tobacco and cigarette advertising signs at least 1,000 feet from a church or school. It touches e-cigarette sellers, sign owners and advertisers near churches and schools. Starting September 1, 2025, a sign advertising e-cigarettes cannot be placed within that distance, measured the same way as tobacco signs, with the same old exception for signs that stood between 500 and 1,000 feet away before September 1, 1997.
