Summary
Address on the card must match the voter list.
This bill says a Texas driver's license, election identification certificate, personal ID card, or handgun license can only be used to vote if the address on it matches the voter's address on the list of registered voters. It touches every voter who shows one of those state-issued cards at the polls, and every election officer who checks them. Election officers must turn away those cards when the address does not match, while a military ID, a citizenship certificate, or a U.S. passport still works without any address check, starting September 1, 2025.
