Summary

New rule for helping early voters fill out a ballot in person.

This bill rewrites the rule for helping a voter fill out a ballot during early voting in person. It touches early voters who ask for help and the election workers who give it. It strikes the old line that let a single election officer assist an early voter, so assistance now follows the same Election Code rules used for voter assistance generally, starting September 1, 2025.
