Summary

$13 an hour, or the federal minimum if that ever gets higher.

The bill raises the Texas minimum wage to $13 an hour, or the federal minimum wage if that is ever higher. It touches every employer and hourly worker under the state minimum wage law, and it repeals Section 62.151 of the Labor Code, which the bill text does not describe. Starting September 1, 2025, covered employers would have to pay at least $13 an hour, except as Section 62.057 already allows.
