Riders may ride between same-direction lanes when certain conditions are met.
This bill lets motorcycle riders ride between lanes of traffic moving the same direction and pass a car in the same lane when certain conditions are met. It touches motorcycle riders and the drivers sharing the road with them. Riders could pass a stopped or slow car (10 mph or less) on a divided highway with at least two lanes each way, at no more than 20 mph, as long as they don't pass a school bus illegally, starting September 1, 2025.
