Summary
New items for the annual report under Section 39.306.
The bill adds new items to the annual report a school district already must produce under Section 39.306 of the Education Code. Each district must now report how many counselors work at each campus, how many hours counselors spend on real counseling work versus other duties such as testing, and what the district found when it checked its own compliance with its counselor-time policy. Parents and the public get campus-level numbers on whether counselors are counseling, starting with the 2025-2026 school year.
