Summary

Run one FAA spaceport, hold one defense launch deal, and all your business goes franchise-tax-free!

The bill fully exempts a corporation from the Texas franchise tax if it runs a spaceport approved by the Federal Aviation Administration and holds a Department of Defense contract for spaceflight or launch services. It reaches only the few companies that meet both tests. Those companies stop paying franchise tax on reports due on or after September 1, 2025, on all their business, not just the defense work.
