Summary

Also any Texas state agency ID card.

The bill adds three new kinds of photo ID that a voter can show at the polls: tribal ID cards from tribes or tribal groups located in Texas, student ID cards from Texas public or private colleges, and ID cards issued by any Texas state agency. It touches every Texas voter, poll workers who check IDs, and especially students, tribal members and state employees who hold those cards. On the ground, a voter could vote with one of these cards even without a driver's license, passport or the other IDs already on the list.
