Summary
Free hunting and fishing licenses for honorably discharged veterans 65 or older.
The bill requires the Parks and Wildlife Commission to waive the fee for hunting, fishing, and annual combination hunting and fishing licenses for honorably discharged veterans who are 65 or older. It touches older veterans who hunt or fish in Texas and the state wildlife department that collects license fees. Starting September 1, 2025, these veterans get those licenses free, joining disabled veterans and active-duty members who already get waivers, with no refunds for licenses bought earlier.
