Summary

Attorneys and investigators join police and firefighters for crisis services.

The bill adds attorneys, investigators, and other staff of district attorney, criminal district attorney, and county attorney offices to the list of emergency service providers under the state's critical incident stress management and crisis response law. It touches prosecutors' office staff, who now sit alongside police, firefighters, EMS workers, dispatchers, and rescue workers in that definition. Starting September 1, 2025, those prosecutor staff can be covered by the crisis response and stress management services that the law provides to emergency service providers.
