Summary
Insupportability goes as a ground for divorce.
The bill repeals the Texas law that lets a court grant a divorce on the ground of insupportability, which is the no-fault ground. It touches every married Texan who files for divorce on or after September 1, 2025. After that date, a spouse would have to rely on the other grounds left in the Family Code, while suits filed earlier keep the old rules.
